We often feel like
we can do everything on our own, when we do put faith in other people, they
continue to let us down. Then, we just quit letting people in. We put up walls
and say we can't trust anyone. The problem is GOD ALONE can solve our problems.
There is nothing wrong with leaning on people and going to them for advice, but
that will never be enough. The devil will quickly force you to depend on that
person for happiness. The devil wants you to feel inadequate, incompetent, and unworthy.
However, that is the exact opposite of who God made us to be. The devil wants
you to believe that when you lose everything including relationships,
possessions, or a job that you have nothing left. God alone is our true
comfort. Even when the people and things of this world forsake us, God is
always there in all of his perfect ways. God alone can pull you out of the
deepest valleys and the darkest of times. He is the only source that will never
run dry. He will never be too busy to answer the phone. He will never tell you
that you are too overweight, your hair is not perfect, or that you are not good
looking enough. You are enough, and you can only find true satisfaction in God.
He will be by your side in the darkest of times when you feel like you have no
one else. God will protect you from all the fear, insecurities, and hard times.
God alone is all you need.
